Nigerian singer, Kingsley Chinweike Okonkwo, better known as Kcee, has responded to his colleague, Flavour’s allegations that he’s copying him.

Gistmania reports that Flavour recently shaded someone online for allegedly copying his musical style.

While Flavour did not mention anyone, Kcee caught the shade and responded accordingly.

He claimed that Flavour was not on his level and urged him to choose his battles carefully.

He warned Flavour to stop trying to gatekeep Igbo cultural music, adding that he was in the music industry before him.

On his X handle, Kcee wrote,
Quote
“Bro, We are not on the same level. Pick your battles carefully.

“Stop trying to gatekeep Igbo culture. You’re not a Custodian.

“I’ve been in this game before you

“It belongs to all.

“You dont own this genre of music.

“My music celebrates our heritage, and I won’t apologize.

“In an ocean of things that matter. You’re like a needle.

“Get that right

“People recognize authenticity. I’ll continue celebrating our culture unapologetically. Spend your energy on success, not diminishing mine.”

Who I go support now? Well asides the ''Level'' thing, because Flavour is quite bigger, I think that Kcee made lots of sense. Dont diminish others when you can concentrate on your own success. he is not the encyclopedia of Igbo culture.
