Popular Nigerian filmmaker, Aniebiet Francis, has taken a swipe at Akwa Ibom people for shaming women who are in their late thirties and unmarried.
According to her Facebook post, she stated that some of them feel like unmarried women are depressed.
“I think it is only in Akwa Ibom folks think every unmarried lady in her late thirties wasn't having suitors or is not having suitors. In their shallow minds, every unmarried lady is depressed. I don't know if such reasoning is a product of illiteracy, poverty mentality or lack of exposure. Las Las, everyone go dey alright,” she wrote in a post on Monday.
