A Nigerian marriage therapist, Safiyyah Kassim, has said, DNA is not encouraged in Islam, even though we can’t confirm that
Safiyyah is a practicing Muslim, except you guys know otherwise.

She also emphasized that, in Islam, the husband is the owner of a woman’s child, even if someone else is responsible for the pregnancy.

Writing on Facebook, the marriage therapist said;

“In Islam, a child belongs to the legitimate husband of a woman even if someone else is responsible for the pregnancy! DNA is not encouraged in Islam.”
