I comepletely disagree with Uche Jombo and I have to say that I am very disappointed. In the first place, after 2007, with Games Men Play, all nigerian and ghanian english movies fell although people still watch them in America. But as for yoruba movies, I will forever watch them and not just because I am yoruba, but because it makes sense. To have a good movie, you need a good story line with a good plot and climax and outcome, also good movies and other elements. Nigerian english movies simply do not have that touch anymore. And to say yoruba movies are fetish, I seem to remember that when English movies in nigeria were beginning to gain popularity, fetish elements were the order of the day. The truth is Uche Jombo is just upset over them probably losing and it is a pure case of tribalism because in reality, every body in Nigeria watches Yoruba and the yorubas abroad do as well and those who understand. They may not be popular abroad as any other language film, but they do make a hell better of sense when watched. Uche, Mike, Mercy, and others like you, shut up, sit down and maybe, start making Igbo films and then talk. Stop your bitterness and tribalism. Please

Let's put aside the hatred and try again remembering that we are all God's children and fellow country men and women ordained by God to be eachother's keeper, not enemies!
