Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi has been warned by the FA after writing “I love Jesus” on a rainbow armband worn during Premier League fixtures supporting the LGBTQ+ community. The FA cited rules prohibiting political, religious, or personal statements on kits or equipment, which include armbands.

Guehi, a devout Christian and son of a minister, avoided further disciplinary action but has been cautioned, alongside his club, against repeating such actions. The FA emphasized that future breaches of Rule A4 could result in charges.

Ipswich captain Sam Morsy, citing personal beliefs, declined to wear the armband altogether.
