Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to viral reports claiming he was paid $10 million to perform at a royal wedding in India.
The Funds crooner was reportedly billed to perform at the wedding of Indian media personality Alkesh Thavrani and his partner, Sheetal Mazda, in Udaipur, India.
His grand welcome at the event gained widespread attention on social media.
However, in a light-hearted post on his Instagram story, Davido appeared to refute the rumored amount.
Tagging the groom’s Instagram handle, he took a lighthearted jab at the payment, writing: “@AlkeshThavrani, wer my balance,” as he reshared a viral report about the alleged transaction.
In another post, Davido hinted at receiving his performance fee, but his playful remarks left fans questioning the actual amount.
He wrote, “@AlkeshThavrani, received. 2025 go hear am! I need Indian passport.”
The singer’s appearance at the high-profile event further cements his status as an international music star, capable of captivating audiences across the globe.
