Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has revealed an initiative to open two million bank accounts for underprivileged individuals in the state, underscoring his administration's dedication to a "pro-poor, people-centred" approach to governance.

The announcement was made on Thursday during a ceremony for the distribution of food items and palliatives in preparation for the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The event, held at the Umaru Yar’adua Conference Centre in Kaduna, was led by Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.

This initiative aligns with the administration's broader goals to alleviate poverty, ensure financial inclusion for the poor, and enhance access to essential services and resources for the state's most vulnerable populations.
