Police sources have told SaharaReporters that three persons are confirmed dead after an explosion at a rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Suleija, Niger state.
The rally had been organized by the state PDP with the aim of subverting a similar rally scheduled for the state by the Congress For Progressive Change (CPC).
Police sources told SaharaReporters that, in addition to the casualties, there are also 19 injured people who have been hospitalized.
Representatives of former military general and the presidential candidate of the CPC, Muhammad Buhari, told SaharaReporters that the candidate was on his way to a rally at taking place at the Minna Polo Ground in Minna, the state capital after visiting traditional rulers in the area.

Where are the useless SSS, SOLDIERS, MOPOL, POLICE, NAVY, AIR FORCE and the rest? greedy old self centered politicians this story would have made more sense if they were the people that died, now it must be innocent people. I suggest my fellow average civilians should stop going to their so called rally because our participation and votes does not matter. Let us leave them alone till GOD intervene. i use to laugh if i hear some news about bomb in Nigeria ,the country that produce the bomb,we don't hear that,there is bomb blast in there country,they use it for war ,not to kill them self's ,but Nigeria i dont know,,,,since i left Nigeria ,i have never hear the sound of gun,not to talk of bomb,please my parents is important to me oooo,let that bomb stop where it is please
