Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has expressed displeasure over comparisons between his facial tattoos and those of fellow artiste Asake.
Asake recently stirred reactions on social media after unveiling his new facial tattoos, which feature dollar signs and the inscription “Believe,” among others, in an Instagram post on Sunday.
The tattoos sparked mixed opinions online, with some commentators drawing parallels between Asake’s look and Portable’s, due to their shared affinity for facial tattoos.
Portable, however, took offense to the comparisons, asserting that his style is more aligned with American rapper Lil Wayne than with Asake.
In a video shared via his social media page, Portable said, “Don’t compare me to Asake. I don’t look like Asake. I look like Lil Wayne. Stop comparing me to an overrated artiste,” he fumed.
“Don’t compare me to Asake, I don’t look like him. I look like Lil Wayne, I’m now an international superstar.”
