Bandits Attack Katsina Hospital, Shoot Doctor, Murtala Sale And Abduct Five Others

A medical doctor, Murtala Sale Dandashire, has been shot by bandits who also abducted five others in Kankara General Hospital in Ƙankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

It was gathered that the bandits stormed the hospital on Tuesday night, January 14, 2025, and shot Dr Dandashire before whisking the victims away to an unknown destination.

Crisis and conflict journalist, Bakatsine, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday said there is a need to improve security in the hospitals across Katsina State.

Dr. Dandashire, an indigene Kankara LGA, was widely celebrated after he emerged the overall best graduating Medical student at the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 2019.

“Within the past three months, bandits have reportedly entered three hospitals: Kurfi General Hospital, Mai Tsani hospital in Dutsin-ma LGA and Kankara General Hospital,” he said.
