
Kaduna State Police Command operatives have successfully rescued 13 victims of human trafficking and apprehended three suspects involved in the illegal operation. The victims, who were being transported to Oyo State, were intercepted during a police operation on January 31, 2025.
According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force spokesperson, the police received actionable intelligence and intercepted the unmarked vehicle carrying the victims at approximately 7 pm. The suspects, identified as Samson Peter (25), Haruna Duniya (45), and Abdulazaq Olawole (58), were arrested on the spot.
The victims were promptly rescued and are now receiving support, while investigations into the case continue.
Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has commended the Kaduna operatives for their professionalism and swift action. He urged all officers to remain vigilant and committed to maintaining peace, assuring the public that the police are dedicated to addressing and eradicating security threats.
