Three weeks after undergoing rhinoplasty, content creator Zic Aloma has shared an update on his recovery, revealing the emotional reasons behind his decision to undergo nose surgery
In a candid video, Aloma explained how years of ridicule from his siblings and others had left him feeling self-conscious about the size of his nose.
He recalled being constantly insulted and called “different” due to his unique nose shape.
However, with his newfound confidence, Aloma proudly showcased his nose, expressing satisfaction with the results and emphasizing that it would continue to refine over time.
Addressing misconceptions about rhinoplasty, Aloma clarified that the procedure is not a “death sentence” and that people undergo it for various reasons, including aesthetics and medical purposes.
Aloma’s decision to speak out about his experience aims to raise awareness and encourage others to embrace their unique features, rather than succumbing to societal pressure or ridicule.
He said:
Some of you don’t even know what rhinoplasty is. Some think it’s a death sentence. But people undergo it for different reasons – some for aesthetics, like me, and others for medical reasons, such as breathing issues.
I’ve always had a very flat nose, and if I could have reconstructed it as a child, I would have. But my siblings constantly insulted my nose, calling it too big and ugly. Among us, I was the only one with this type of nose. It made me feel different.
But now, I’m happy with the results of my surgery. My nose will continue to refine over time, and I’m excited to see the final outcome.”
