Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has opened up about a painful experience in his past relationship, revealing how he once pleaded with his girlfriend to stay despite discovering her infidelity.
Speaking in a candid interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, L.A.X recalled the moment he found out his then-girlfriend had been unfaithful. According to him, she returned home intoxicated, and upon checking her phone, he stumbled upon a message that confirmed her affair.
"I was dating this girl, she came in drunk, and I helped her to the bed. She even threw up. I checked her phone and saw a message that read, ‘I enjoyed this night. I think we should do this again,’” the singer recounted.
When he confronted her, she dismissed the incident, insisting that the man was just a friend. However, rather than expressing anger, L.A.X found himself pleading for their relationship to continue.
"Trust me, I was the one begging. I told her we could work things out, and she simply said, ‘Okay, don’t worry,’” he revealed.
His revelation has sparked discussions online, with fans reacting to his unexpected response to the situation.
