Nollywood star Funke Akindele has shared her passionate approach to love and her secrets to success in the entertainment industry
In an interview with Saturday beats, Funke said when it comes to love, Akindele confessed that she’s a “lover girl” who gives her all. For her, the ideal partner is someone who pampers her, checks in on her genuinely, and is intelligent and positive.
Reflecting on her personal journey, Akindele revealed that she once felt like giving up on love. However, she encouraged others not to lose hope.
Akindele also addressed critics who claim that the Nigerian film industry is losing its storytelling quality. She disagreed, stating that creatives tell stories from unique perspectives. “There’s no bad story; it’s about execution. I’m not tired of Nollywood stories; I just want to tell my stories well,” she said.
