A female student has been evicted from her hostel after she was caught stealing three power banks belonging to her fellow students, just weeks after moving into the building.

This was revealed in a viral post currently making waves on TikTok, where the culprit was seen being confronted by other students in the hostel.
In response, a general room search was conducted, and the stolen power banks were eventually found hidden inside the student’s bag, confirming her involvement.

The TikTok user who shared the incident explained the situation in detail, saying:

Quote
“Our hostel president provided an extension outside for everyone to charge their phones. It’s been there for almost two years and no one has ever had their devices stolen. People would plug in their phones and power banks overnight, sleep peacefully, and collect them in the morning.”

“However, the girl who stole the three power banks moved into our hostel this January. As hostel members, everyone is allowed to use the communal charging spot when there’s power, and we all trust that when the electricity goes off, each person would collect their own device without touching others’ property.”

“On Monday morning, we noticed that three power banks and a charger had gone missing. What was surprising was that the thief left the smaller power banks and only took the bigger ones, like the 40000mAh ones. This upset both our caretaker and hostel president because we had never experienced any theft in our lodge before.”
It was then decided that all rooms would be searched. When they got to her room, they found the three missing power banks and the charger hidden inside her bag. Everyone was furious, especially the female residents, who wanted to confront her physically, but the caretaker and president calmed them down. Shockingly, the girl showed no sign of remorse.”

“Since we couldn’t tolerate theft — especially knowing that our phones and gadgets are often left outside to charge — the caretaker instructed that all her belongings be taken downstairs immediately. The joy on everyone’s faces was unmatched. In less than five minutes, all her properties were moved outside.”

“A quick hostel meeting was held, and it was unanimously decided that the girl should leave the hostel.”

“She left with all her belongings around 9 a.m. that same morning, still showing no sign of remorse, even as all these events unfolded.”
