A married Nigerian man has ignited an online debate after revealing his struggle with feeling bored around his wife while experiencing joy in the company of his girlfriend.
The unidentified husband, who already has a child with his wife, anonymously shared his predicament with social media influencer @Wizarab10, seeking advice on whether he should file for divorce.

“I’m married with a kid, but I feel bored even when my wife is around. I don’t feel that way with my girlfriend; I feel alive in her presence. I’m really tired of this feeling and don’t know if I should divorce my wife or not, but I can’t keep living like this,”
he wrote.
Some users criticized his wife, suggesting she may not be doing enough to sustain his interest. One user, @JanisOmorogbe, argued that the responsibility for a thriving marriage largely rests on the woman.
“There’s something she’s not doing right. I guess she’s one of those entitled women. This generation doesn’t understand that the success of a marriage is 90% dependent on the wife.”
Others, however, warned against impulsive decisions, pointing out that the excitement of an affair is often temporary.
User @eddiebrendan advised the man to work on improving his marriage instead of chasing fleeting emotions.
“When you eventually marry your girlfriend, the cycle will repeat. It feels exciting now because it’s a secret affair. You should focus on spicing up your marriage, especially since kids are involved.”
