People reports that the soiree was held at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills at 7 PM. The couple arrived to the adults-only shower in a black Rolls-Royce, which Carey received as a Christmas gift from her hubby.
The unborn twins received many gifts, including two "almost life-size" stuffed giraffes (where does one keep life-size stuffed giraffes, anyway?) and hand-made chairs.
"Mariah had the best time at her shower," a source says. "She was very touched by how nicely everything turned out and excited about all the generous gifts she received."
Mom's favorite gift, however, was the "Always Be My Babies" "Lamb Book," calling it her "new prized possession."
The book was created using poems and letters from Carey's fans (whom she often refers to as 'Lambs,') to the babies.
"We so had a 'moment' in the middle of the shower when they presented the book to me and everyone thought it was the cutest, most thoughtful thing ever!" Mimi writes in her blog. "Clearly, only the Lambs would swing something like that home!!! It was the best moment of the night. I can't wait for the twins to read the messages and feel the love!!!"
We're sure there will be no shortage of love, or material objects, in the twins' lives.
Guests, included American Idol judge Randy Jackson and CNN's Piers Morgan, were treated to gourmet pizzas, appetizers and banana, chocolate and red velvet cupcakes
