In celebration of Mother’s Day, Nollywood actress Ini Edo has shared an emotional and heartfelt message to herself and all mothers.

The actress, who is a proud mother, took to social media to express her overwhelming love and gratitude for her daughter.

Sharing photos of her daughter, Ini Edo spoke of the deep emotions she experiences every time she looks at her “mini-me.”

Reflecting on her journey to motherhood, she admitted that at times, she wondered why it took so long for her to have a child.

However, as her name suggests—“God’s time”—she realized that the wait was simply because her daughter, specifically, was meant to come into her life.

“Every time I look at you, your loving and compassionate nature, your ever-vibrant and happy self, I am overwhelmed with so many emotions that I ask myself, ‘Why did you wait so long?’ Then I realized that, as my name implies, ‘God’s time,’ I was simply waiting for you,” she wrote.

Ini Edo, expressing her gratitude to God, shared how humbled and in awe she is for the manifestation of all of His promises in her life through the gift of her daughter.

“I am humbled and in awe of how you manifest every promise you have made to me. I just want to express my joy and my gratitude for the greatest gift of all. The gift of love wrapped up in my little girl,” she added.

The actress also reflected on her strong belief in the power of prayer and faith, sharing a hopeful message for those desiring motherhood: “Motherhood is a promise to every woman who desires it, and God is not a man that He should lie. Your time is near.”
