The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in partnership with Tuface Idibia has taken another step in the fight against fake and substandard products.
At a media launch on Tuesday, a project spearheaded by Hypertek/Now Muzik in collaboration with Promotie Entertainment revealed a single, “Man Unkind”, produced by J.Sleek accompanied with a video directed by Emma Gecko for Buckworld Media Network.
At the event, the NAFDAC Director-General,Mr Paul Orhii, briefly spoke on the menace of fake products and the fight to curb it in the Nigerian society just as he appealed for support in the fight against fake products. Besides, he said it is a campaign to fight and save lives.
The audio and video of the theme song was then unveiled.
Also speaking, Tuface, a NAFDAC Ambassador since 2009, said the way “man is unkind to mankind” made him determine to take the agency’s message to a wider audience and in doing so initiated the FASPAC project with Hypertek, Now Muzik and Promotie driven by the theme song “Man Unkind.”
“The menace of fake drugs and substandard products is an evil that every Nigerian must fight for obvious reasons. The people involved in the trade are merchants of deaths and their targets are you, me, family, friends, colleagues, neighbours and the society at large,” he said.
The event was wrapped up with an interactive session between the audience and the hosts, Tuface and the NAFDAC DG.
