I Have Hosted Many Nollywood Stars, Nigerian Musicians And Comedians, Frank Noll

A couple of days ago, talented Nigerian producer, Frank Nollywood, met in London for an interview with NOLLYWOODGOSSIP‘s AMARA. Frank, who hails from Anambra state, has hosted almost all the top Nollywood actresses, actors and musicians. Read on to find out more about Frank Nollywood.

Tell us a little about yourself

My name is Frank Okafor. I am popularly known as Frank Nollywood. I am from Anambra state. My record is G29 music. I am a producer.


 

Tell us about your projects

The one in UK now is with Bracket. Their music is released last week Friday. Their new Album is called muah muah. I think every lady needs to listen to this song. I am the producer of the event. Bracket will arrive in London on 20th of April and we have a lot of activities ahead. On the 21st is praise conference, 22nd is Cardiff,  23rd we’re going to be in Birmingham, on the 24th we’ll be in Manchester, 28th we’ll hit Nottingham, 29th we’ll land in Glasgow, on the 30th will arrive London, and finally on the 1st of May we’ll be in Northampton. Anybody can catch us at any of this.

How did you come about this project?

This is an in-house thing. It’s a kind of a family thing. We have been romancing it for a long time. So we think this is the time to break the egg. We are still going to Germany and Austria soon.

How long have you been doing it?

I’ve been into music business since 1994.

What are the challenges you face?

Challenges are a lot. To get visa is a challenge. Before you do African music this time, you have to get it right, again, to get the venue and the right people to work with.

What more are we expecting in 2011?

In June 2011 we will be hosting African D Junior, African concert. I will host Chinyere Udoma, Gozie Okeke, and Esther Igbekere. Gospel comedian is going to be Holy Malam and Chidimma Okafor. In August of course Crack your ribs with Julius Agwu. September is Sunny Bobo hosts Chiwetalu Agu and John Okafor. Last show is J Martins friend’s concert. J Martins featuring Timaya in November.

How many stars have you hosted and who are they?

That one is uncountable. Where will I start? Will I start from the music or movie? It’s a lot. J Martins, Nigga Raw, Tony one week, Flavour, John Okafor, Sonny Bobo, Chidimma Okafor, Fred Bright, Mc Lorph (Osondi Owendi), 2 Face, Bigiano Shayo, a lot of them.

Are you married or seeing someone?

I am married to the most beautiful and most talented woman in this world.
