LOL..this question reminds me of the Nollywood movie: My American Nurse where Awolowo bought his fiance an engagement ring from the Dollar store. lolol. She didn't mind because she understood his situation and accepted the ring out of love. Same goes here: I believe that if a guy can afford an expensive engagement ring and knowing his woman's worth, wants to buy it for her, then so be it. But it's all about the love the ring represents. Material things can't substitute for love.
