Most people prefare court to church after the dowry has been paid, and still entertain their guests.
why becos nowadays churches are just being funny about Weddings

Marriages are not conducted in the court, they are conducted by local council of each territorial district.

my mother is a  newly appointed judge and my brother is a lawyer
and when both my brothers got married last year they had to also do the court registering of their marriage.
its basically just signing of documents in front of witness(s) to make it legal to state and yes it is done in a court mostly but can depend on state too so

some call it a court wedding others civil but same difference
