The leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has threatened that his group may abandon its non-violent approach and toe the line of the Boko Haram since the Federal Government understands the language of violence.
Uwazuruike, in an exclusive interview with Daily Sun in Owerri at the weekend said both groups were calling for the division of the country in different ways, saying while the Boko Haram adopted violence approach to press their demands, the latter (MASSOB) engaged in non-violent method to achieve the same objective.
According to him, it had taken MASSOB over 12 years preaching the gospel of Biafra sovereignty through non-violence, government had not deemed it necessary to invite the group for discussion but regretted that within a short space of time of the Islamic group’s bomb attack across the country, government had extended olive branch to it. “I congratulate them because it has taken me more than 12 years to preach the same language that they are saying today that Nigeria needs to be divided at least between Christians and Moslems, but the Federal Government has ignored me for 12 years.”
“Now, within a very short space of time the Boko Haram people have said the same thing I was saying through non-violence, the Federal Government has invited them and of which the group, (Boko Haram) has ignored the government and continue what they are doing.” The MASSOB leader made it clear that if he had his way, the group would join the Boko Haram and the entire nation would be in flames, since it was the only language the Federal Government understood.
“I am telling you that if I have my way now, I will join the Boko Haram and the entire country will turn into crisis, since it is what the Federal Government wants. I am saying it today that, I congratulate the Boko Haram people and I wish they will continue in their efforts and if I have my way, I will join them.” He regretted that, whenever the MASSOB embarked on a peaceful demonstration, government, through its security agencies would clamp down on them, even maiming and killing them in the process.
He, however, advised the Boko Haram not to bomb the rural areas, where common people reside, but, should focus attention on those who were clamouring for oneness of the country because of what they gained from the national treasury. He dismissed the insinuations that members of the Boko Haram group were invisible, alleging that some members of the nation’s security agencies belonged to the sect. Alleging further, the MASSOB leader said the Boko Haram were being sponsored by top politicians and business tycoons in Nigeria.
Uwazuruike, who dismissed those who claimed that members of the Islamic group were invisible, said the sect were human beings made up of flesh and blood but decided to make themselves invisible because they were committing crimes. He warned: “It is not only the Boko Haram that can throw bombs and they are not the only people that are courageous to be suicide bombers, any other person who believes in whatever he is doing can be a suicide bomber, but we are considering the fact that we can still achieve the same purpose by peaceful means without anybody dying.”

MOSSOB is a failed organization which will implode finally. Their cause may become achievable if the federal government keep up with their illegal arrest and detentions. It will only give their members a reason to recruit more members in the name of injustice and adopt a violent approach to their demands. The government should thread softly- meet with any disillusioned group now before things get out of hand (again).

what is going on in our country, lets divide or there will be no peace,we need to divide, MR president please do some thing now before it is too late, ISLAMIC never want' nor like peace in there life, cos there conspire against only Christians that shows the don't want peace and would not stay with peace maker, this people are dogs and wolf, there are distasteful. unpleasant set of humans ,there have cost distress to our country,pains,sufferings, unhappiness, damage,and difficulty's , MR president discrete and do not disregard this matters, ISLAMIC believe are discreditable, there religion is discourteous and discourtesy to human,it is inconsiderate. our peaceful country is disarray, please MR PRESIDENT you should disarm them, there are devilish ,evil and cruelty ,mischievous wicked and very difficult to stay with or live with, i owe no apology to no one ,we need to divide in other to have our peace, go to united kingdom there are problem there , there have no peace, and don't want peace,so we need to divide to have our Owen peace MR president , i don talk my owen make every body heream, i no de Nigeria but e de pain me so much , may GOD help us and give our president wisdom to know how to divide this country,

No Raip nwannem we cannot descend low to become animals as suicide bombers. That is corwardice. Do u know why suicide is equivalent to cowardice. An empty mind, lacking in the space and depth to think and lacking the highly prized virtue has nothing else to do than eating up itself and invariably making sure that other lives are taken with them. Not that taking one's own life is a courageous act, they have dishonored their body, the law of God and lack intelligience. So the Igbo man shouldnt resort to suicide in order to carry out aviolent crusade, war should be carried to the house of the one that will not allow your brother to take a cup of water because he thinks he carries the instrumenmt of coercion that your moral restraints and/or fear of God and/or fear of public sanction puts on you. Know your enemy and determine the best way to keep him in check. Your enemy to start with is the healthy and able-bodied one that will not do work to earn a living and provide for the weak and the disadvantaged. If you have been patient this 12 years, then time should have taught how to go about your business of lifting the voice of reason and weapon of chivalry. Channel your energy into addressing Boko Haram directly by extending invitation to them and government to set things straight, dont congratulate them for any reason that their action and result justifies your/our course and patience-in trial. God give you wisdom and good support and victory in our quest.

To the MAssob leader, I like the name Massob, wow that a nice name but I am a psychologist and one of the best student in American best college.Please adhere to my advise, this is my advise, You see, those special Bomb you have got, try to use your skills and use them on Boko Haram headquarters(not Muslims) to make them fear Igbo. Make sure you clear off almost all the Boko Haram members. I will not say much, if this is done, then declare you did it and you can do better. You will gain two things, Money and respect....
