Holy Matrimony is a sacrament freely given by God, to celebrate at anytime. We no longer live by the laws rather we live by the grace of God. It's your choice to celebrate any sacrament at anytime of your life, that is why we have infant baptism and adult baptism. Jesus Christ got baptised at the age of 30, why don't we wait till 30 years before we get baptised? It is freely given by God to mankind. For Holy Matrimony, it is said that we must be virgins before we get married, so their is no difference between a pregnant woman and someone who is not pregnant but isn't a virgin any more. So how many of us out their both have our groom and bride as virgins? if we have one then their shouldn't be wedding if it is what the Bishop meant. As regards to Matrimony, a pregnant woman is equivalent to someone who is not pregnant but isn't a virgin.

I dont see anything bad in conducting both traditional and white wedding on same day oo.....it is done to save cost........but for the others, he made sense

Maybe the Bishop go help with some finances so that the two could be done separately.

Na wa o.  Too many rules. But the two most annoying ones are the ones prohibiting preggo women from marrying and having your trad wedding after the white wedding. To be honest, I usually see people doing it as: trad wedding first, then white wedding. But why should it matter which comes first? In my opinion, as long as it's not too far apart, then what the heck. On the other hand, the church wedding matters most to me than the traditional. As for the preggos...if na me, I will just go to another church. Is it not better that thhey wed than to continue and have the baby our of wedlock? SMH...

The bishop is very correct in his analyses. If u must do both in same day let the traditional comes up first nt d other way round.

He is right ,i think  the church should be the last place the couple shall receive there blessing , not after church blessing, you then go for traditional blessing. i agree with the Bishop on the ban.
There are other ways to save cost.
