Super Eagles Players Had Beef With Rashidi Yekini - Sunday Oliseh

 Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, believes Nigeria would have got better results from Rashidi Yekini at USA ‘94 FIFA World Cup and the team could have done better but for the deep-rooted division in the Nigerian team.

He told SuperSport.com that “the only reason I am saying this is for the future and for the country, for people to learn and because

I feel that honour has not been given to Yekini like it should…some players had scores to settle with Yekini and all that.”So many people have always wondered why Yekini would celebrate alone after scoring Nigeria’s first ever goal in the FIFA World Cup when he opened scoring against Bulgaria on that hot afternoon in Dallas. It's funny you waited this long to voice out on what destroyed Nigerian football for so long....Yekini is no doubt the greatest scorer ever to wear green white green. It was unfortunate all the Ibo boys in super eagle then were so bitter about his success at club and national level.The rest is history....UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL....There is indeed a great lesson to learn from that dark age of Nigerian football.

Just in time and how I wished the present crop of players in the Super Eagles squad would learn.If any thing,let it appeal to their patriotic instinct just for the sake of the love of football in this nation.Their victory or defeat is that of the entire country.
