Nigerians are very perculier, may be very difficult to understand let alone being pleased. It is very common and quite easy for Nigerians not only to criticize but also condemn professionals and even teach them how and how not to do their jobs. The fact remains that it is much easier to criticize, condemn and even write others off but it is certainly more difficult being different from the people or things we criticize.

The teachers are not properly trained,we have half-baked graduates, the engineers, doctors etc. are quacks.Even the security have failed. All these are and not limited to some of the areas or instances where professionals are impliedly taught their jobs in nigeria. However, what most people do not know is that beyond the paper work,it is much more tedious to translate same to reality as  much more interplay of factors are involved.Beyond the obvious or visible considerations upon which the people premise their arguments and conclusions, there are several unforseen,man-made (sociocultural, economic and political) and historical inhibitions that constitute a clog on the wheel of progress on the way of these professionals which cannot and may never be seen until you are involved in the procees.

So,professionals should be given the opportunity to do their jobs as the professionals that they are.The comparisons we make are sometimes made in bad faith.Comparing the performances of our professionals with that of their counterparts in other climes with well established and needed structures is  to say the least unfair.Let us give aour professionals a chance.
