The former Inter Milan striker stated this yesterday while speaking on a Lagos radio station, programme saying that he has regained fitness enough to return to the senior national team.
"One thing I don't like about the coach (Siasia) is that he did not bother to call me while I was nursing the injury. He didn't care to know how I coped with the injury and I'm not happy about it
"I'm back to fitness and I'm ready to play for my country again. Why not if I get the opportunity? Everything depends on the coach (Siasia), he determines who to call to the camp but I'm ready to play, let us wait and see," said Martins whose goal gave Birmingham City a 2-1 victory over Arsenal last season to clinch the Carling Cup at the Wembley.
Martins dismissed reports linking him with a number of clubs in Italy after his loan deal with the English Premiership side from Rubin Khaza of Russia.
It will be recalled that the former Newcastle forward had in April this year undergone surgery after suffering a leg fracture.
