I really feel sorry for the parent of the poor boy. But why on earth will the hospital reject a dying patient? What is the function of the hospital? If they reject human being, is it animals they accept? SHAME!!!.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>
According to the deceased’s mother simply called Mama Olumide,
“I was ironing my clothes at about 10 a.m.yesterday when my son
came to charge his phone. I asked him where he was going and he
told me he was going out to play. Just a few minutes later, I learnt
he had been stabbed. We rushed him to a nearby hospital but
he was rejected.
And he later died”
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

That statement made me angry. The hospital refused to help a dying young man.
Reason is usually the family is too poor to pay for medical attention. It is so sad
for a mother to watch her son die because she is too poor to pay hospital bills.
Folks, this is one of the biggest problem our nation is facing. If you are poor,
your child will die if he/she need hospital care. Only the rich gets help at the hospital.
We as a people can demand that the government build amd equip community hospitals.
You do not have to be rich to receive medical services.

ooh what a waste of life

I totally agree with you..it a waste of life.
Two points I like to make here. The accused is young. Not too young to
know good from wrong. You cannot kill a friend over N50 naira. A life is
worth more than that. Parents need to teach children rights from wrong.
And that actions have consequencies. This young man will surely go to prison.

Secondly, the root of this problem is poverty. To this accused N50 is alot
of money. He killed a man for it. He said he was hungry and wanted the
money back after he lost it to the friend he killed. Poor people sometimes
do things that are difficult to comprehend.

Broda man, don't you live in Naija? You should know that you
cannot get medical treatment at any hospital if you cannot pay..
Surpised you pretend this is new......it is not.

very sad news............why shud anyone take a life s/he cant give............n' what is the duty on doctors if they cant save a dying soul............i tire 4 9ja..... Angry Angry

Hopefully more people will get angry enough and make their voice heard.
We all need to let our leaders know that access to medical care is a human
right issue. Nigeria can have a comprehensive policy that will make health
care available to everyone.

What a tragic story!

I looked at the picture of the accused killer and all I could say was " why ?"
Why did he just mess up his life? He is much too young to go to prison..but they
will send him anyway. His life right now is over. He wished he thought about the
likely consequency before stabbbing his friend. This is truly tragic!
