I am a lawyer and am in total agreement with @ Hosbert,the lady took the law in her hands ,what she should ve done is to hand him over to the police or allow him go if she wants to forgive him,according to law in Nigeria a suspect is considered  innocent until proven guilty by a court of law,in this case the guy wasnt declared guilty by any court so he sure has the right to sue for some compensation,if he hires a good lawyer like me he will surely win his case!
