One million students fail 2011 WAEC exam

For the fourth year running candidates who wrote the May/June 2011 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) conducted by the West Africa Examinations (WAEC) recorded mass failure as only 31 per cent made five credits including English Language and Mathematics.



The Head of National Office (HNO), Dr. Iyi Uwadiae disclosed the figure in Abeokuta, Ogun State while announcing the release of the school examination taken by 1, 540, 250 candidates nationwide. According to him, out of the 1, 5 million candidates who sat for the May/June, 2011 WASCE only 472, 906 candidates obtained five credits above including English Language and Mathematics.

na wo oo dis days self dey dnt face dia book, even @ d tutorials dey attained self na jst boyfrendz n galfrendz. And aside that dey rather spend time on 2go,Facebook, twitter...
More so dey watch alot of movies and spend more time hanging out with peeps in parties n clubs.

Peeps make una forget, exam na exam. people wey go pass go pass and people wey go fail go fail. English no be our language... even Bristish citizens for UK here dey ask us for spellings and answers to english questions how much more naija.. lol. All of u bankers how many of una dey see X and Y for una bank calculations? they go dey bring am for waec dey confuse students... Anyways congrats to those that passed and for all those that failed.. stop pinging, facebooking, twittering and get serious for once... Abba. even though I know say Waec and Jamb dey contribute to fail students.. Smiley

why they will not fail, when the a boy of 15yrs have more than 2 girl friends the same thing with the girls, do they have time to read their books and they don't care. so they have to repeat, they don't have choice if they care about their education.

Teachers no longer teach as they should. Most public school teachers are too concerned about personal businesses because their salary do not come in as at when due.
