Precious! Calm down! You'll have Harold's and William's knickers in a knot before you know it!

whew!!!!.i must have to sigh in ecstacy with a deep breath(hmmmm).perhaps you should tell her not to put her "panties in a bunch" or so i thought.you should try not to have an anal-retentive manner to make a big fuss out of a relatively minor issue...

I'm not the one who's chucking a wobbly over this issue. You're the one looking up stats on nuclear missiles. The fact is that a global thermonuclear war is less likely now than it was in the 1980s (I know people who remember those times very well).

The natural disasters that you speak of have obtained throughout history. Nowadays is nothing special in that regard.

Climate change and ozone depletion are separate issues. Hey, I'm just a blonde, but even I know that!

Right.
I'll ignore the insults, because they show the poster's level.
Nuclear expert?
Not.
Or you'd be talking about the real nuclear threat.
Of course you know what I mean, don't you.

Friend, you write about earquakes as though they'd never happened before.
I want you to know Wikipedia has an excellent section on tectonic plates and I suggest you read it before answering again.
This planet is old, Williams, very very old.
Go find out about the the way this planet has evolved. The changes it has gone through over the eons.
Don't talk about earthquakes as though they were products of HAARP.

Stick to the facts.
And stick to the thread topic, please.
Remember, End Time prophecies?
Like those that have been given over the last 2,000 years?
All of them false?

Nuclear expert?(not really)
Not.(no and never)
Or you'd be talking about the real nuclear threat.(maybe, for those strictly willing to learn and share..)
Of course you know what I mean, don't you.(most certainly i do)

Friend, you write about earquakes as though they'd never happened before.(of course they have and will continue to)
I want you to know Wikipedia has an excellent section on tectonic plates and I suggest you read it before answering again.(i did a special research and study of my own about tectonic plates far back 2003 or thereabout..i dont need a preview/review of it again.thanks anyway.)
This planet is old, Williams, very very old.(i know it is and i dont need an astrologist or astronomist to salt-add such intel to my soup again..)
Go find out about the the way this planet has evolved. The changes it has gone through over the eons.(the changes of the 21st century far more exceed that of the 20th century..want to make that debatable??)
Don't talk about earthquakes as though they were products of HAARP.(HAARP is a research program of usa used for ionospheric studies and others.conspiracy theorists around the globe has it that it can be propelled and driven for a high speed weaponry and used in something called "environmental warfare"and if my memory can still serve me right,i did not see where i layed out earthquakes as though they were HAARPS produce/products..)

Stick to the facts.(i am and always will)
And stick to the thread topic, please.(of course without any form of deviation or digression)
Remember, End Time prophecies?(yes i do)
Like those that have been given over the last 2,000 years?(yeah,we all know about the full monty..)
All of them false?(seemingly but not necessarily..an iota of truth is still found in one or two of them, maybe more if not...)

lets cut to the chase and back to the topic of discussion in proper shall we?what exactly is your insistency about the poster's topic??

My 'insistency' as you call it, is that for the last 2,000 years people have been using signs of the times and end time scare tactics on vulnerable people.
I won't go into the psychology of WHY they do this. That'll be for another thread.

The fact is that those scare tactics are always building up to an event, The Second Coming, etc. which NEVER happens.
Ever, in the last 2,000 years.
Yet time after time this is preached.
And fails, of course.

The OPer is doing the same thing here.
And I call him/her on it.
And while it may be off topic, Williams, I'd advise you to refresh your knowlege about plate tectonics.
Things have moved along considerably since 2003.

ok thank you very much,i will look into the refreshment of my knowledge about tectonic plates swiftly ASAP.
i grab your concept wholly.but, what has a beginning has an ending..are we in unanimous agreement to this??
one might consider/rebuff the poster's topic as flawed and wrong in his message preaching of second coming/end time.
but dont you also think harbouring the intent about the world existing/living for all eternity without "pulling its own plug" is erroneous??

I'm glad you take the comment about refreshing and up-dating your knowledge of tectonic plates seriously. The events in Japan this years have given scientists the opportunity to observe, record and now study such movement and it's worth looking up.

The world spinning on forever?
Whoever claimed such a thing?
Again, please refresh your knowledge. We have a very good idea when the sun will reach the end of it's cycle as a yellow sun. As we all know, we're dependant on the radiation (yes, radiation) of the sun for life on this particular planet. So when the sun reaches the end of it's cycle, so will life as we know it here.
But don't hold your breath! We're talking about 5 billion years from now.

But this is all off-topic, of course.
The subject of the thread is the revival of a proven false claim, that the Bible shows the End of the World is nigh.
It's been proven false over and over again in the last 2,000 years.
I don't know why Harald dusted off these debunked interpretations and presented them as fresh insights.

Civility is all very well, but sometimes total candour is a good idea. I stand by what I said as I don't think you thought through what you were posting. I don't know how the back seat driver got involved here - and "freedom of liberty" is a tautology.

good you said no one ever claimed such a thing bout the world spinning on forever....
5billion years??huh!!thats only a specifics which is evidently flawed and the advent of such possibility,is only a probability which is highly inaccurate to clinge unto..
its remarkably overwhelming and hilarious of scientists most of the time on their prediction(s) or should i say studies..
well if you say,as if i may borrow your term a 'proven false claim' of the bible showing end of the world is nigh and has been proven false over and over again for the past 2,000years,then i guess we'll have to leave it here and not drag much ado about nothing further.

You're the one looking up stats on nuclear missiles.(this is certainly not a cry of the wolf)The fact is that a global thermonuclear war is less likely now than it was in the 1980s (I know people who remember those times very well).(alright then you can keep your fingers crossed and hope that your belief or should i say ideology dont end up as a flash in the pan)but,do you know you are cracking me up seriously and am head over the heels for your comment??...

The natural disasters that you speak of have obtained throughout history. Nowadays is nothing special in that regard.(really...?then i guess you think every cloud has a silver lining.touche to your belief and observative point of views missy)

Climate change and ozone depletion are separate issues.(i dont think so we may be close but still no wine and cigar to dine with and the world currently, as majority of humans will tell you is hell in a handbasket.you can call me a pessimist if you want but i will beg to differ cause am just trying to face the prospect of reality) Hey, I'm just a blonde, but even I know that!(but of course you are and that doesn't make me a satellite either..am bout to hit the hay....doozy anyway!!)

If you're going to post a reply, do it while you're awake. It might make sense then.

what a blue comment..no need for nasty speech impediment.i hope you dont think everyone are your equal??try to wear your heart on your sleeve please...

I'm not the one who posted semi-literate drivel and then came up with bafflegab about a speech impediment... on a web forum?

i wasn't the back seat driver either and i'd hope i was dealing with an upholder of civility?humans, ubiquitously are fixed in their own ways.its called freedom of liberty.lets not be a devil's advocate to ourselves.my mistake...........

Civility is all very well, but sometimes total candour is a good idea. I stand by what I said as I don't think you thought through what you were posting. I don't know how the back seat driver got involved here - and "freedom of liberty" is a tautology.
the highlighted words in red,i will give it a tongue and cheek response and let it flush into the suez canal as its not worth 0.5% of my mental energy.i dont have enough fuel on my tanker to do the bidding for redundancy fermentation..you dont know how the back seat driver got involved here?(chuckle).i thought you were alot smarter than that?

ok thank you very much,i will look into the refreshment of my knowledge about tectonic plates swiftly ASAP.
i grab your concept wholly.but, what has a beginning has an ending..are we in unanimous agreement to this??
one might consider/rebuff the poster's topic as flawed and wrong in his message preaching of second coming/end time.
but dont you also think harbouring the intent about the world existing/living for all eternity without "pulling its own plug" is erroneous??

I don't know why Harald dusted off these debunked interpretations and presented them as fresh insights.

good you said no one ever claimed such a thing bout the world spinning on forever....

Science isn't guesswork, though you seem to think that it is. Science made possible the computer you're using and the network to make this exchange possible. If you want to go back to the Dark Ages, feel free, but I ain't following you.

That was an interesting way of agreeing with me that the OP was an example of blatant fear mongering.

yea you're right science isn't guess work..but,100% accuracy is not awarded to any scientific research.there are lots of discrepancy found inside scientific research(s).its a 50/50 standpoint.computer you are talking about is a man-made technology with no 100% efficiency as to its various uses(no perfection is/will ever be awarded to it)..the earth, milkyway galaxy and entire universe, were not created by man and for scientists predicting/researching our mother earth and telling us or rather telling me(don't know bout you)to stick to their claims,is by far objectionable and questionable.
their(scientists)theories/claims are constantly been refigured and majority if not all, emanates from mere speculations/assumptions.which in itself is a failed science otherwise called "Pseudoscience"..
Fleischmann and Pons’s Cold Fusion research,Einstein’s Static Universe research,Phrenology research, spontaneous generation research etc.just to mention but a few, were all proved wrong by scientists who were busy second-guessing themselves.
these people(scientists)that use science as a tool to study/make research are not monopolies of knowledge and never will they be.
oh!!as for the dark ages, its simply inconceivable..........
