cadanre at 24-08-2011 08:52 AM (13 years ago) (f) I hope you retire from the management of BABY FACTORY in your home state, Abia. That is not a good business money maker. Find a better way of making money that does not involve selling your Igbo kids like rams.

iykewifey at 24-08-2011 11:35 PM (13 years ago) (f) This video documentary explores the subject of poverty, prostitution and human trafficking in Edo state. This is the continuation to the initial part of a 2 episode documentary that can be found here: http://www.naijapals.com/modules/naijapals/naijapals-base-(metro-life)/comprehensive-aljazeera-documentary-on-women-trafficking-and-live-in-italy/It uncovers some shocking revelations on corruption (Something that is never shown in Nigeria) in Nigeria and unavailability of basic social amenities such as good roads or even education to the poor. <object id="flashObj" width="480" height="270" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase=" http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=9,0,47,0"><param name="movie" value=" http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1" /><param name="bgcolor" value="#FFFFFF" /><param name="flashVars" value="videoId=1115932103001&linkBaseURL=http://english.aljazeera.net/programmes/peopleandpower/2011/08/201189141348631784.html&playerID=664965303001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAmtVJIFk~,TVGOQ5ZTwJZbyLu770YWZ_LE4OaoU5Nv&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" /><param name="base" value=" http://admin.brightcove.com" /><param name="seamlesstabbing" value="false" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="swLiveConnect" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><embed src=" http://c.brightcove.com/services/viewer/federated_f9?isVid=1&isUI=1" bgcolor="#FFFFFF" flashVars="videoId=1115932103001&linkBaseURL=http://english.aljazeera.net/programmes/peopleandpower/2011/08/201189141348631784.html&playerID=664965303001&playerKey=AQ~~,AAAAmtVJIFk~,TVGOQ5ZTwJZbyLu770YWZ_LE4OaoU5Nv&domain=embed&dynamicStreaming=true" base=" http://admin.brightcove.com" name="flashObj" width="480" height="270" seamlesstabbing="false" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" swLiveConnect="true" pluginspage=" http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash"></embed></object> The documentary explores the baby selling industry in Abia state in short this is a clip that will make you weep as a Nigeria. Seeing countries like China and Japan growing to become world powers, I was hoping that our government will be learning from such trend setters and also from the mistakes of our past leaders (Obasanjo, Babangida and Buhari), but that is not the case. Political posts has since become a ticket to siphoning the country's funds into personal accounts. Watch the clip, it is 25 mins long. Enjoy God help Posted: at 24-08-2011 11:35 PM (13 years ago) | Upcoming

IamME at 26-08-2011 06:30 AM (13 years ago) (f) this is why other African countries laugh @ Nigerians cause we are So tribalistic, we are always pointing fingers instead of working to fix the problem.
prostitution, and baby sellers was the topic but yet the comments are more insulting than the actual crime.
God help my fellow Nigerians :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Some comments may be insulting, but it is totally wrong to say that the comments are more insulting than the actual crime. May be you do not understand by prostitution, breeding babies for sale. Where have you ever heard of such things as business except in Biafra? if you have nothing positive to say to me then keep it moving!!!!! what is wrong in me saying what I said, read the comments above and how its deviated from the original point, Prostitution is bad true, but it has also been around right from time, in every single country and trust me its not worst in Nigeria than in other places, so yes the insults here are too much, Baby selling is evil in its own and to me even worst than selling your own self, but then again its done every where maybe worst in some parts of Nigeria than other parts of the world, I dont know, but the fact remains if you do not understand where I am coming from ask rather than attack, its common courtesy, remember the way you address someone is how you are equally asking to be addressed Posted: at 26-08-2011 06:30 AM (13 years ago) | Upcoming

Why try to kill the messenger? Is this video not educational regardless of who made it? There is no one solution to the problem of trafficking but the more people are aware of the tricks of the trade the more difficult it would be for the traffickers to find victims. This documentary focuses only on the Nigerians in one part of Italy and the state from where many of them originate. Does it mean that all Nigerian prostitutes in Italy and all of Europe are from Edo Sate? This is not a Nigerian problem only but one facing many third world countries where people believe as long as you put foot in a developed country life would be a bed of roses. Poster....great post!
