24hr curfew?...it sounds like a joke. That's the lousiest way to manage a conflict of this kind.
I just hope the curfew doesn't last too long.

How about the Police using teargas to disperse the rioters and arrest the stubborn ones,
bcos there are law abiding citizens who need to go about their normal legal businesses
