Ok Pals....i find this dumb...i was watching a movie and a guy said he cant marry his pregnant girlfriend bcos its a taboo...now that's wierd and stupid to me.

My question is this...is there any culture/tradition that forbids a man from marrying a pregnant woman in Africa.

Just like u said is dumb and stupid.... thats what it is indeed... He got her preggy and now realize is taboo to marry a preggy lady.

normally ......... yu dont marry a woman with pregnacy is a taboo buh things ve change now......a priest can wed pregg woman with or without knowledge of her condition..........during our forefathers is a big ''TABOO'' bcos it seems ur marrying a mother n' d kid .........it good after d child deliver then yu can go ahead 4 marriage rite Cool

when a woman is pregger they re two (child n' mother) so is a taboo to pay a bride price on her bcos shes pregger ........if yu marry her with the pregnant ur marrying both the mother n' unborn child.....

Hmmmm i c, good to know that, so such culture still even exist there.. quite interesting, seems the people can't hold their 3rd degree unit section for that area, they made the elders to fix such law.

not really is no longer effective lik b4............my younger sister was pregnant b4 her marriage ............my kindred dont accept that.......is an individual thing alot of pple stil pratice it there,,,,,,,,,,,,
