when a woman is pregger they re two (child n' mother) so is a taboo to pay a bride price on her bcos shes pregger ........if yu marry her with the pregnant ur marrying both the mother n' unborn child.....

Really? Marrying a pregnant woman is a taboo? I would think that it is
an honorable thing to do if you are responsible. If a man's girlfriend gets
pregnant, I think the man should marry her. In most cultures, that is not a
taboo at all. Certainly not in mine. Marrying her is the right thing to do.

normally ......... yu dont marry a woman with pregnacy is a taboo buh things ve change now......a priest can wed pregg woman with or without knowledge of her condition..........during our forefathers is a big ''TABOO'' bcos it seems ur marrying a mother n' d kid .........it good after d child deliver then yu can go ahead 4 marriage rite Cool

What difference does it make if you marry the woman before or after the baby is born?
The child is still yours and will still have your name. I will say to any man with a pregnant
girlfriend "Marry her if the child she is carrying is yours". No need to wait till after birth of baby.

In the first place, she can't wear white dressing gown which symbolizes 'purity or virginity' because only a priest on his head will believe a pregnant bride has not known any man - except of course in these days of miracles and born-again she's second virgin Mary -but if the pregnancy is not yours, I think it's ungodly to tie any knot, be it local rope or church cord. Wink Wink

Man, why the worry about wearing a white gown at the wedding? 99% of brides who wear
white gowns at their wedding are not virgins. Same with the men. So who cares. Some
traditions (like wearing white gowns at weddings) have outlived their usefulness.

Agreed. If you fathered the baby, you have to support the baby.
It is only fair to the child. You owe the baby that much. And it is
the right thing to do.

We have watched enough of such movies from Nollywood and would appreciate
if you stop posting about the junk you call Ghana movies on this forum.

It's wrong to marry a woman who is pregnant for another man, if I must answer your question.

Why is it junk? Those movies tell stories from our communities. They are REAL.

You can't hide from the truth. Sometimes reality is difficult to watch. The movies
show what has happened (or is happening) to the moral values of our society.

Babies having babies, old men enticing teenage girls with money, hooligans molesting
children, women viewed as sex objects and not respected, etc....signs of moral decay

@ Dan...that's exactly my point...cos i see no difference b/w marrying her now or after the baby is born. If u can marry her when the baby is born...u can as well marry her b4 the baby is born....afterall there is no place in the bible that says a woman impregnated by her husband-to-be shudnt be weded. Culture and traditions were made by man and as such can be changed...Any reasonable man wud marry a girl he puts in the family way...if he truely finds the girl worthy to be his wife...if not he shud cater for her until the babie is born...and afterwards take responsiblity for the child's up keep.
