I believe our problem in this country is that we are a federation that is not run like a federation. States should control their resources and pay taxes to the central government. That is how the US is run and you might be surprised that China is run in similar fashion to a large extent. These are the two richest countries in the world today and they are both much bigger than Nigeria both  in terms of land mass and population. So size should not be a disadvantage rather it should be a strength considering that critical mass is a major factor in national power.
