If I must add my two scent:

Nigeria would be the better for it if it stays together and every tribe respects and acknowledges the importance of other tribes
When power is allowed to move around, both majority and minority tribes
When justice rules
When what is good for the geese is good for the gander
The blood of one tribe can not be used to tie this country together
I stand by Aburi Accord............Nigeria should be a confederation and not a federation
Power at the centre should be weakened
the various confederation should endeavor to develop their region and contribute a certain percentage to the centre.

But as long as there is injustice in the system, as long as the centre is stronger than the states/regions, there will always be problem

From my own perspective, As long as the northerners(Hausa/Fulani ) believe that it's their prerogative to rule Nigeria,
or saddled with the believe that the president of Nigeria must always be an Hausa /Fulani ,whether qualified or not, this country may never know true peace!!! I believe the terrorism / security debacle Nigeria has found itself in this recent times was spurned by the insatiable greed for power by the Housa/ Fulani leaders!!!

Some pals has cited countries like china,Russia,India, turkey, Mexico etc, there's no denial,all this are multi-racial and cultural countries, but i don't think it's appropriate to use this afore-mentioned countries as a point of reference in the Nigerian situation. The Nigerian problem is unique from many standpoints..because of strong cultural and tribal idiosyncrasies .in this atmosphere of mutual distrust,religious difference ,cultural difference etc....it's hard to see the rock on which we can all stand and face a common future together without occasional violent eruptions. Is it not better therefore to cut a mutually agreeable split...?
