The utopia one Nigeria" has made a lot of Nigerians lazy, so dependent on oil revenues like chronic parasites.
Some have permanently lost control of realities to our inhomogeneities and geographical dislocations, at the mercy
of illicit religious bigotries in their bid for power.
If Nigeria is not divided today, it will be divided tomorrow. However it's irresponsibility still, to pass the burden
unto the future generation seeing the split as imminent. Either by peace or war. North and south are opposites!!!

India is about 1,2 Billion, different religions but common background Pakistan are about 98% Muslims, mainly fanatics. My guy, I will appeal to you to eschew this tribal and religious bigotry and confused history you appear to propagate on Naijapals. You need to travel the world to see that hardly can you find a country where everybody belongs to one tribe or religion. I will take apart your disjointed rejoinder to my comments by starting with India, a former colony of Britain:
The Constitution of India recognises 212 scheduled tribal groups. Hinduism, with over 800 million adherents, is the largest religion in India; they are followed by Muslims , Christians , Sikhs , Buddhists , Jains , Jews, Zoroastrians, and Bahá'ís. About 43% of Indians speak Hindi while the rest speak Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Punjabi and other languages. Almost 45% of the Muslims speak Urdu while the rest speak Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kashmiri, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and other languages. About one-third of the Christians speak Malayalam, one-sixth speak Tamil while the rest speak a variety of languages. In total, there are 1,652 languages and dialects spoken in India.
There is a number of ethnic strife in India where some have taken up arms against the state demanding more autonomy and others, like in Kashmir, are demanding total independence. There are over 600 million Indians who live in abject poverty of less than $2 a day. This is equivalent to 4 times Nigerian population! Your claim that these differing ethnicity is of the same background is totally false.
Russia has 160 ethnic groups who speak some 100 languages. Russia has oil. There are over 20 million Muslims in Russia. Other religions include orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism. Chechnya fought a brutal war of secession and was equally brutally crushed. Terrorism is on-going in Russia as well as in USA, both of whom have oil.
China officially recognizes 56 distinct ethnic groups. These ethnic groups speak a variety of languages including Mandarin, Wu, Shanghainese, Yue, Cantonese , Taishanese, Min , Hokkien and Teochew, Xiang, Gan, and Hakka. Other languages spoken widely by other ethnic minorities include Zhuang, Mongolian, Tibetan, Uyghur, Hmong and Korean. Standard Mandarin, a variety of Mandarin based on the Beijing dialect, is the official national language of China and is used as a lingua franca between people of different linguistic backgrounds.
There is several conflicts hanging around China’s neck, not least Tibet , Taiwan and internal ethnic terrorism as reported widely in recent years. Yet nobody is calling for division of China!
Turkey is locked in a tug of war with Kurdistan. Iran and Iraq are in similar situation with diversed ethnicity and oil. Nobody is calling for their division.
Pakistan has over 60 ethnic groups speaking languages ranging from Punjabi, Saraiki, Pashto, Sindh to Balochi. In the Northwest, there is armed conflict going on. Bombs go off like popcorn daily, and yet you claim Nigeria has more problem? You must be kidding!
Mexico is ethnically diversed; the various indigenous peoples and European immigrants are united under a single national identity.
In Pre-Columbian Mesoamerica many cultures matured into advanced civilizations such as the Olmec, the Toltec, the Teotihuacan, the Zapotec, the Maya and the Aztec before the first contact with Europeans.
