THE Federation of Muslim Women's Association of Nigeria (FOMWAN) has asked the Federal Government to find solution to the menace of Boko Haram.

According to them, government should dialogue with the religious sect if it will stop the killings.

National President of FOMWAN, Hajia Maryam Idris Othman, said this in Akure, the Ondo State capital during the enlightenment programme for Muslim women in the country.

The programme, slated to last four days, drew participants from the 36 states of the country and the FCT and attended by the League of Imams and Alfas.

Othman said government should be steadfast in the quest to ensure that total peace is restored and the fear of insecurity gone with the winds.

According to her, FOMWAN is collaborating with their Christian counterpart under the auspices of Catholic Women Association of Nigeria (CWAON) on the peaceful co-existence between Christianity and Islam in the country.

"Most of the killings affect both Christians and Muslims, an indication that it has nothing to do with religion,"she added.

According to her, Islam does not forbid taking vaccine in order to prevent polio, saying those who refused to submit their children for vaccination did not have knowledge of Islam.
