The bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:20 "Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
A man of God speaks nothing but the mind of God, it is because we have left the path of truth and the fear of God that he has allowed calamity upon calamities to befall us as he did to the Israelite in the Wilderness.

God's love for us is immeasurable, but we have abused it. It is not the Prophet's making. It is better he tells us the painful truth so we can amend our ways and live, than for him to tell us lies and receive the wrath of God.
