Prince i Support your view.Alcohol is not sin.Remember in an occasion Jesus turned water into wine.Timothy instructed Barnabas to take little alcohol against his stomach pain. Again during the Last Supper,Jesus brought wine,prayed and blessed it,give to his disciples to drink as to replace this blood is going to pour for our sins.

So alcohol is not but taking it more than your content is Sin.Just as you said,Taking alcohol and getting Drunk are two different things.

I've just read through the remarks credited to pastor chris oyakhilome on the consumption of alcohol and smoking of cigarettes.I have equally read the reactions of people to these statements from the pastor,strictly speaking,it is not a sin to drink alcohol or smoke cigarette.What matters here is moderation.These things alcohol and cigarettes should not control man but man should be in control.The first miracle of Jesus was to turn water into wine and in this context at the marriage in cana the wine in question if you really know the Jews and the social lifestle is very alcoholic in content.What did apostle paul advise,a little wine for your stomach.This little ofcourse is relative.On the health side,one can have reservations about these products depending on health conditions but morally speaking,there is absolutely nothing sinful about their consumption.Some clergymen in Europe and even Africa smoke and in real pastoral situations they are quite good.Let us atimes be enlightened a bit and stop condemnations out of primitive dispositions.

Never you judge a man of God, the consequences is too much to handle. People critisize masturbation and yet they masturbate, the same thing goes for drinking and smoking. Pastor Chris is a wise man of God, he knows what he is doing. Masturbation, drinking, smoking are not worthy to be called sin(only in excess). Before you judge, go and read about sin and you will see the light. Pastor Chris is a brave man, he brings light to topics people are scared of. it's a sin to judge a man of God(even if he is wrong).
