As narrated by a Blog reader who sent in the photos....

A Blue Ford SUV with plate number, Abuja, GWA – 302 FB on Monday afternoon erupted in flames at a Police checkpoint close to Ushafa Bridge along the Ushafa – Bwari express road in the Federal capital Territory, FCT.

Luckily, the driver was rescued unhurt.

However, despite attempts made by passersby who were seen using fire extinguishers to help quench the fire which was said to have been caused by fuel leakage the fire raged on.
