Barely a year to his exit from office, Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State has, initiated a law to enable him pocket a whooping N200 million in annual pay after his tenure expires. Mr. Akpabio is allegedly also demanding other benefits including a new house, brand new cars, furniture and luxurious living for the rest of his life. The controversial law, is known as Akwa Ibom State Governors and Deputy Governors Pension Bill 2014. If passed by the assembly, the bill would repeal the Governors and Deputy Governors Pension Law, 2006. To underscore the urgency of the proposed law, the Governor has allegedly indicated that he wanted it passed hurriedly so it could come into force on June 1.

Haba! This is 2tally out of normal. Nigerians do not go in2 politics 2 serve the ordinary man anymore,they jostle 4 the seat 2 serve themselves & their families. Jst imagine his outrageous demands & b4 ull know it,other govnors will begin 2 tow the line. Infact I think it is these old politicians that have expired & not nigeria. They shd all be wiped out b4 nigeria breaks.

Wat a country, , a common governor will hv the odercity of imposing a bill to law, , am ashamed of that country,, I don't blame any politician I blamed our law makers,,, , this is to show hw wicked they are, in his state, , several families are there feeding from hands to mouth but it is none of his business, , very selfish and devilish people we hv as politicians, , , sometimes I wonder where they normally travelled to because if it were abroad I knew , they must change frm there ill gotten thoughts.

in the part of the world dat i live,i have come to understand the meaning of the word freedom of speech,but i have observed dat u ar bent on only tring to make ppl reason the same way u do.my dear its ompossible,say urs and allow odas to express theirs without u trying to make them understand dat ur word is amen and amen.i will not go into any battle with u hare regarding my name,u just said ur opinion,but thank God dat u ar not the lord over my life.so if wish were horse,den beggers will ride.and lastly,i have come to understand dat many of u over there never like to hear the truth.so im not surprised.gooday sir.
