Well, here i am again.. Wink Wink.I know a lot of guys who would cringe at the subject of my post today. Huh? ???Well, the issue is, just like you guys complain about our hair, our nails, and makeup, Kiss we ladies have every right to do same.Yes!yesterday, i spotted a young guy who sagged his jeans, so low that , not only were his his Louis Vuitton(guess its fake sha!lol) Lips Sealed boxers on display,, but he could hardly walk comfortably. To make matters worse ..or not!, he had this fabulous lady on his arm.

Did i forget to say he looked 22 and she 28?Well, she was walking around proudly with him as they went about their shopping.I could see some stares of admiration from passerby's and also distaste on others, Angry Angry especially the older folks. I was fascinated by them sha!Maybe because they were a beautiful couple. But, his jeans........went so low..reminded me of the song "How low can you go"by Ludacris (yep i'm a  fan of rap) Grin Grin
Now, my issue is, how low should my guy go?I mean, i cant stand a guy who wears his jeans on his belly. Undecided :-\But, common...i also cant stand the waistline of your jeans on your knees. Shocked :oSo, as ladies, do we think its irresponsible for a man to sag his jeans? Some ladies find it sexy and irresistible, some find it juvenile, s for me, i think its(no comment). ;)And,just like our Brazilian hair, it looks like sagged jeans are here to stay. So, ladies, do we go on a protest march or, just let them be? Ok, I’m really mad. Angry Angry Angry I just recieved a BB broadcast and it goes” Limited vacancies in a reputable communications firm for ladies between 20 -26,with a second class lower degree in any discipline, tall, beautiful and, having a light skinned complexion is an added advantage.” Huh? Huh?
I though it was just a joke,  Grin ;Duntil I got confirmations that this is true.  :oWell, I wont dwell on the tall, beautiful…blab la bla..but “light in complexion”?Like hello, when did skin color become a pre-requisite for employment? I mean I have no problems with naturally light skinned African girls, but I have a problem with our society pushing across the message that, being light skinned means being beautiful. This craze for a light complexion has left many women looking like bleached whales,   Tongue :Pjust so they could measure up .Funny enough, they do get the attention they crave even at the risk of cancer and its likes. Shocked Shocked

Take a look at our society today, we are totally shunning those characteristics which made us unique, black and proud, remember? Men have been fine tuned to believe a light complexion woman is more attractive or beautiful, Music videos and movies flash painfully light skinned women in our faces, bosses believe having a light skinned completion woman in your organization means more patronage. Churches have light complexioned girls as ushers, events have light complexioned girls, banks have them as customer service or marketers, even babalawo’s have them as their personal assistants. Don’t ask how I know. Grin Grin Grin Grin

I have personally tried to change my skin color in order to look more attractive and acceptable, not until I saw Genevieve Nnanji, Kate Henshaw, Kelly Roland, Linda Ikeji,Agbani Darego, yes she won the Miss World Title!! These are undoubtedly beautiful and dark skinned women who embrace their color. Don’t they look good? Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?

The whole counters of cosmetic stores are filled with skin bleaching creams. Tone this, tone that. What happened to our natural Shea butter (ori)or Vaseline…not that I would use that..lol..What happened to loving our natural skin tone? Being proud of who we are.
But have we really sat down to think of the implication of this on our future generations? I mean would our great grand children even know what being black really means?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes ::)Why don’t we leave the white skin to those who really are white and those who are naturally light skinned? Why don’t be open the doors to our dark skinned beauties? Why don’t we use them more in videos, movies, jobs etc….I’m not dark skinned in the true sense of the word, but I must say, I’ll choose dark chocolate any day, any time. Grin Grin Grin
Africans rock. Let’s be black and proud Grin Grin Grin

if you don't like to read, you wont enjoy this :- Wink Wink

You just couldn't wait to read it right!Well, so are millions of people around the globe. We spend a lot of time and energy in our quest for the perfect relationship. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

We read books, subscribe to online dating sites, hop from one relationship to the other, change our out looks and mannerisms, cry, fight, even use jazz(fetish means) Roll Eyes Roll Eyes, and still end up back where we started. lonely, sad, unfulfilled and heartbroken. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Heaven knows I too suffered from"perfect relationship syndrome. Shocked Shocked In my quest for the perfect relationship . I have read every thing from "how to hypnotize a man, ::)secrets to trapping that man forever, catch that man in 3 days, get your ex back, :omaking that man a slave to your love(I better not mention some names..lol), to the acclaimed "Art of Seduction" . Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Ok!I was fascinated by this book and I read and applied it to the latter. I tried to be like cleopatra whom they said captured the worlds greatest men (eg caesar)with a single glance. what was her secret? Evolving. she made sure she evolved ,her looks ,her hair, outfits, fragrance etc.she always made her men feel like they were meeting her for the first time. Always put on a show. Was she the most beautiful? No she was even described as an average looking woman. Huh? Huh? Huh?

Smiley SmileyWell,I tried to apply the rules of cleopatra which was quite a task and seemed to be working then(at least for four months).even did the cleopatra hair style.I forgot one thing,I wasn't cleopatra, this wasn't the ancient era,and I wasn't dealing with the world's greatest men. I was dealing with  normal, down to earth African men who didn't reason the way caesar did. They didn't give a damn if I tried to evolve like a chameleon. All they wanted was food in their stomachs and probably sex. Lips Sealed Lips Sealed Lips Sealed

As a matter of fact,I was being fake. The only thing which survived that experience was my cleopatra hair(I rocked)
Lovely rules but ever watched the movie" two can play the game"?(Not the Nigerian version oo)well that movie brings out the intricacies and disadvantages of starting a relationship based on rules. Lips Sealed Lips Sealed

Nor matter how hard we(male and female )try not to apply rules,we find ourselves applying them sometimes un intentionally.we do this for two reasons

-Protect ourselves from hurt
-Make sure the ones we love never leave.

What these books don't tell us is that,"rules don't apply to everyone"  Tongue Tongue. There's this rule a friend of mine lived by,whenever he met a beautiful lady,he acted like she was the ugliest in the room. Why? Because he felt beautiful ladies were used to so much attention and so,would be captivated by a man who was nonchalant. nice one if you ask me but, there came a time he really fell inlove with a very beautiful girl,so he put he down as usual, never complementing her.  Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
It worked initially, then she snapped and decided she couldn't take it nomore.she moved in with someone who appreciated her, told her how beautiful she was.all attempts by my friend to tell her he didn't mean it fell on deaf ears. She didn't believe he was playing mind games on her. Angry Angry Angry Angry
So,my number one rule is"BE YOURSELF". Grin Grin ;DI don't mean being a cheat(if that's yourself ooo). Angry >:(just being comfortable. The fact that your spouse walked up to you and indicated interest means you had it going for you.don't spoil it with the games. :'( :'( :'(

Sorry, got to take this important call "hello dear(in my cleopatra voice)lol.. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Wink Smiley Cool Shocked
