Juliet Ibrahim Sign Up with UNAIDS’ Protect The Goal Campaign In Ghana

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim has joined other celebrities in Ghana to sign up with ‘Protect the Goal’ campaign of the United Nations’ body for HIV/AIDS, UNAIDS. Ghana Protect the Goal is the Ghana Chapter of the “Protect the Goal” initiative, a brand new slogan, in the framework of UNAIDS’ sport for global advocacy.

The mission of the scheme is to articulate effective, relevant and timely information, packaged in short, clear and easy to understand messages with the aim of empowering the youth of Ghana to apply safe sex and protect from new HIV infection. The campaign runs with three key messages which are use condoms, know your HIV status and reduce segxwal partners. Just like other celebrities, she recorded a short video message calling on her fans to adhere to safe sex, as it was a sure way of achieving targets of zero new HIV infections. The exercise was administered by the Country Director of the UNAIDS, Girmay Haile.
