Crystal Palace VS Manchester City
Sunday (30/12/2017)
13:00 (WAT)
Manchester City travel to Crystal Palace on New Year's Eve with several injury doubts to contend with.

Pep Guardiola's side are going in search of their 19th consecutive league victory, which would equal the all-time top-flight record for Europe's top five leagues.

David Silva and Fabian Delph missed the win at Newcastle in midweek, while Vincent Kompany limped off early on.

MAN CITY INJURIES
John Stones completed his first full training session on Thursday and though Guardiola says he is not yet ready to play 90 minutes, he will soon be back in action.

The City boss also says Kompany's injury is not as bad as expected, and he will be assessed on Saturday. He could also miss Sunday's game, but could be back soon after.

Delph's situation is similar; Guardiola says he, like Kompany, knows his body and that while his injury is not too serious there is no need to rush him back into the team.

David Silva was granted more time off for personal reasons in midweek but could return. Benjamin Mendy is out with a knee injury.

MAN CITY POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP
Leroy Sane was rested in midweek but should come back into the team for Bernardo Silva.

Should Kompany and Stones miss out, Eliaquim Mangala will likely deputise alongside Nicolas Otamendi. Danilo would replace Delph at left-back.

David Silva could come back in midfield, though if not then Ilkay Gundogan is most likely to step in.

Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus have been rotated in recent weeks and it will again be difficult to predict which one will start.

CRYSTAL PALACE TEAM NEWS
Damien Delaney, Mamadou Sakho and Connor Wickham will again miss out, while Joel Ward is doubtful.

Palace have 24 hours fewer to prepare for the game than City, having played Arsenal on Thursday night.

Roy Hodgson has helped lift the Eagles out of the bottom three since he replaced Frank De Boer as manager, but while they picked up impressive back-to-back victories against Watford and Leicester City recently, they have won just three of the last 13 games since the shock victory against Chelsea on October 14.
