While growing up, some of us might have been told some fairy-tale lies by either our parents or other relatives to either make us do something or prevent us from doing something.

I remember one, my mum would call my big brother and because he is used to taking long in coming back from errand, my mum would spit on the ground and tell my brother, 'if this saliva dries and you are not back, your buttocks/bom-bom/yarnsh will dry like the saliva'.  You will see him fly away with high speed and return in good time.  Another case, my big auntie told me then when I was still a teenager, 'dont let boys/men touch you, if they do, you will become pregnant'..

So which one did they tell you?...lets hear it.............

I once asked my mum, how do babies come out from inside big stomach of a pregnant woman ... she told me doctors usually, use very sharp object to open a pregnant woman's stomach and then bring out a new baby, i even pitied her allot and rub her stomach and tell her sorry many times because it will hurt to use something to cut someone's stomach open.    one of those beautiful fairy tales lies parents usually told kids.

[passin anywhr near burial ground or any grave yard for dat matter was a no go area for me as a kid.one time ma big bros, wanted to send me to his girl friend's hse one evening....hmmm, he knew it's only ma dead body dt will go near any cemetery or near anything grave. he said i should i wait...he went outside nd came back wit one stupid leave, said i shld put d leave across in ma mouth wen i get close d cemetery.or anywhr near any grave dt nothing wil happen, he gingered me on. Boy!....i didn't knw hw he did it bt i believed him.]

lol,ok. during lunch/dinner,maybe he came late to have his...me and my brother will come and seat close to him,hoping to have some after he's through..

you know what?he will tell us to go together with our house help and call (in igbo dialect) "amuta nwa eri gi ihe" ..b4 our returns the old boy has already finish eating.. though he will left some for us.
