there is no way you can compare the type of noise coming out from churches to that of mosques, i think this is a good development, churches shouldnt be near resident places, the same thing with mosques and big companies.

hmmmm Lagos State has been very peaceful for a very long time now... I sincerely hope gov Fash is not allowing himself to be lead astray by those sycophants around him. He need to think with his head ooo.

But having said that, I also think it's imperative for all the religious institutions within the state and the country at large to try and reduce the level of noise pollution emanating from their musical instruments, be it church or mosque.

U know? one gets kind of irritated while driving through the streets only to be abruptly interrupted by these noises, especially those of them using Horn speakers outside their church and mosque buildings. it's not very nice u know?........     So let's do things moderately bearing in mind that all these churches and mosques are directly situated within residential areas.

It's a welcomed development. Another area to visit should be, blasting of horn by motorists/cyclists, bus conductors calling for passengers, street hawkers and sirens from top government officials.

U know most Nigerians are hypocrites....  The main issues have not been addressed but they go about beating about the bush.  A friend back home in Nigeria once said that if u visit some houses in Lagos (esp the regular face me, i face u houses as he put it) u get to see like 7 to 8 generating sets on at the same time....  Now that makes one to wonder.  If u can count as many as 8 gen sets in a single house then how many of those gen sets would there be on a single street alone? Now doesn't that alone make a mockery of the noises from churches that is the bone of contention here? We are talking about noise pollution here people.   As much as am not in support of either churches or mosques placing speakers outside their buildings especially in residential areas, but i also think that the Lagos state government should started on the right foot note which is addressing the issues of electricity.
