Well, if you want to get tangled into a love triangle scenario go ahead. But, I might want to point out here that you're asking for trouble. For all I know you are totally invisible to this guy segxwally. I would lay odds here he has no idea how you feel and being the principled person you say he is, he may not return your feelings. That means you may be looking at a one-way relationship. Except, you take the risky jump and tell him how you feel, you continue to suffer in silence of un-requitted love which I can assure you is going to hurt like hell especially when you see him having fun with other girls. Otherwise, you could risk rejection by telling him and feel hurt when he does reject you because he thinks you being cheap or if he's like liberal-minded, he would not reject you but he would try to take it slow to see where the relationship goes. But, as a married woman such crushes are forbidden so you have to let the guy go.
