20 Year Old Man Forcefully Defiles 14 Year Old Teenager

A 20-year-old man, Abiodun Ogunbunmi, has been remanded in prison, for allegedly defiling a 14- year-old teenager.

Ogunbumi, who was arraigned   before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court yesterday [Aug 23], was charged   for molesting  one Deborah Akinbola.



The police prosecutor, Inspector Samsom Ekikere, alleged that Ogunbunmi, on August 20, forcefully had segxwal intercourse with Akinbola.

According to Ekikere,  on the fateful day, about 2 p.m. at Fagba, Iju, Ogunbumi, had canal knowledge of Akinbola, thereby inflicting body injuries on her, which resulted to her been admitted in the hospital.

According to Ekikere, the offence committed by Ogunbunmi, is punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State 2011 Nigeria.

When the charges was read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty, but was refused bail and remanded to  prison pending the Director of Public Prosecutors’s advice.

The Magistrate, Mrs. Taiwo Akanni, adjourned the matter to October 30 for further hearing.

If victims report such crime to the police or the press, maybe people will start taking RAPE seriously in Nigeria.

the issue of rape in Nigeria is another one big issue the society is in not tackling well some thing have to be done to eradicate these problem

As long as punishment is not metted to previous offender, the trend will continue. A respected Oba of a community rape a corper last yr & uptil now, he's walking the street a free man, then what do u expect from his subjects?
